The Quilting and Fiber Art Marketplace

The Quilting and Fiber Art Marketplace will be here before you know it.  Now that you have finished baking and cleaning and making lists of things that needed your attention at the last minute, think about a whole day of sewing, fabric shopping and creativity on the other side of all that chaos.

If you don't like crowds...........then come in the afternoon about 2 pm and you can shop with ease!!  

The Quilting and Fiber Art Marketplace will be held January 6 – 7, 2012, at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center, 1801 Nash St., Sanford, NC 27330.  The hours both days are 9 am – 5 pm.  Admission is $5.00.  There will be food on site and plenty of parking. Sanford is easy to get to from most of eastern NC.  It’s big enough to have a nice facility, but not so big that you will get lost.  Load up several of your friends and plan to spend the day with us.  We’ve tried to get the best quality and the best variety of vendors in one place for your shopping convenience.
Are you looking for hand-dyed woolens or wool for applique?  Auntie Ju’s Quilt Shoppe and Shakerwood Woolens will have lots of beautiful  woolens for your next project.
Do you need a quilt frame or quilt rack? Blue Ridge Quilts has racks and frames built in NC.
Do you love fabric and quilting supplies? The Cotton Quilt, Dragonfly Quilt Shop, The General Store at Smith Mountain Lake, Island Threads, Lynne’s Outlet, Quilter’s Loft Company, The Quilter’s Gallery, The Quilting Connection, Sew It Seams, and Ye Olde Forest Quilt Shoppe will have fat quarters, fabrics and all sorts of things to get your heart racing.
Do you need embroidery supplies? Dawn’s Sewing and Embroidery has the best.
Are you a button addict? Dusty’s Vintage Buttons and Textiles, and Courtney Tomchick will have fabulous buttons for any type of project.
Are yarns your thing? Empty Pockets Alpaca Farm,  and Unique Yarns will have lots of yarn for your pleasure.
Shopping for a sewing machine? Featherweight Poppy, Loving Stitches and Sew Unique will let you take a test drive on any of their machines.  Whether you are looking for a Singer Featherweight, a Bernina, a Janome, a Brother or a Viking machine, there will be a machine for every price point at our show.
Are you a mixed media artist? Fiber on a Whim and Karen Pharr Studios will have lots of treasures for you.
Do you spin or weave? Heelside Farms will have wool roving and batts.
Do you love to applique? Hissyfitz Designs will be there with her original, whimsical  pattens
If you need embellishments then Judy Lea Enterprizes will have contemporary fabrics and silks that you will love.
Do old linens make you sigh? The Linen Lady can make your dreams very sweet.
If you are shopping for a long arm machine then Loving Stitches will gladly demo a Gammill and The Quilting Solution will be happy to show you their Homesteader long arm machine.
Rug hooking is represented by Karen’s Colors from Cary, NC.
Do you need to know about T-shirt quilts?  Ask Paulette from the Quilter’s Nest.
Quiltricks will have a great selection of her original patterns from large quilts to small quiltlet trios, purses, wallets and table runners.
Do you love quilt books and notions?  Schoolhouse Quilts will have everything you could possibly want.
Are you a contemporary quilter or do you sew funky children’s clothes?  Then you will love Some Art Fabric.
Textile Treasures always has beautiful silks and Oriental print fabrics.
YLI Threads,made in the USA, will have lots and lots of thread to choose from.
We hope that you will come to our show.  All these vendors are hard working business owners with a dream.  Your support and purchases will help make their dreams a reality.  And you get bags of fat quarters and goodies in return.
