Mini Lap Quilt Series

Class Fee: $30
Instructor:  Judy Whitehead

On the first Friday of each month, beginning in March, Judy will be teaching a series of mini lap quilts. These quilts will reinforce or expand your techniques with different blocks every month to create mini lap quilts.  The fabrics required are predominantly fat quarters.  There is one book (Fat Quarter Style) required for the entire year!  If you want a larger quilt, the size instructions are included up to queen size quilts.

























Little Houses
Saturday May 5, 1-4p

This tiny house is a work of art!  It's all about embellishing and using vintage and hand dyed fabrics with hand embroidery.  Susan will wallk you through each step, using fun and funky techniques.  What could be more fun than creating your own little world atop a hill of fabrics and thread.

Making Faces

Susan has had so much fun playing with faces!   She has always avoided drawing or painting faces.  But after she picked up a copy of Melissa Averinos new book "Making Faces with Fabric", she had so much fun!  Best of all it doesn't need to look like anyone you know!






















Brimfield

Let’s join in making a new kind of English Paper Pieced design.  This wall hanging will introduce you to a perforated paper template concept along with bringing back an old block design that was discovered in the Antiques Stores in Brimfield , Massachusetts.  Once you have finished the initial block you can make a small wall hanging or a pillow top, the choice is up to you.




















Class Act Pillow

Here’s your chance to take a traditional design and make it modern.  In this class you will learn an easy English paper piecing system combined with the option of machine piecing to easily insert pointed fabric pieces between the wedges.  So you’ll experience the diverse, become distinctive, and dare to be different with Distinctive Dresdens.  In this two session class you will make your choice of a square, hexagonal, triangle or pentagon shaped pillow.














Hazel the Hedgehog

Learn to make one of Elizabeth Hartman's cute animals.  We love Hazel the Hedgehog!  It makes a great pillow, baby Quilt or throw.  The hedgehog we will be making from the pattern is the large.























Snails Trail Al Fresco
Friday June 8 and June 15, 11-4

I love the Snails Trail block, just the name cracks me up!   Snails Trail combined with other blocks makes for a striking quilt.  


















Duffle Bag

Tuesday June 19 and June 26, 10:30 to 4:30p

You can make a beautiful quilted weekend bag that rivals a popular designer!  Using a pattern book by Cindy Taylor Oates, this class will be conducted over two days so that you can complete this project after attending both classes.  

On the first class, you will cut and quilt the fabric for the bag and pockets. 

In the second class,  we will construct the bag with pockets and the zipper closure. 

Our samples in the store are the medium and small size. 


















T shirt Quilt  
Friday June 22 and 29, 1-4
Class Fee:  $75
Instructor:  Erica Ransom

Gather your T-shirts and make a one of a kind quilt.  We will go over the basics of T-shirt quilt making and different layouts from simple to more creative.  Please note this is NOT a beginner's class. You must have a working knowledge of accurate rotary cutting, measuring with rulers, 1/4 inch seams, pressing and squaring up. And a little math to make your T shirt pieces fit is also helpful!  No machine required for first class.















Learn to Quilt - Flowers on my Fence

Let us introduce you to an exciting new hobby.   Sewing is a great stress relief and keeps your mind active.   And it is so fun to create!  Learn the latest in notions, strip sewing and how to match your seams like a pro. This class will take you from the basics right up to quilting and binding your finished quilt. There will be homework after each class so you are prepared for the next session.

the Twister Twister, class looks like so much fun, BUT I live in Florida and won't move until April 28th, will you be holding a class again on that pattern?? so cute!
