It's a class?  Or a Party? 
It's a little of both!  Join us as we celebrate the arrival of our beloved Gastlies fabric with a special Coffin Hexie paper piecing class.

Carla will transform the classroom into Matilda's parlor just for this class and will have aculdron full of surprises.

Linda Bryant will be the guest of honor as she guides students with tips and tricks for paper piecing, whether you are piecing coffins or other hexies.

She will demo how to do a good portion of the piecing by machine rather than hand - a nice treat for those of us whose hands don't cooperate as well a they once did.  You do not need to bring a machine .... we will have some set up for you!

QUILT MARKET - Sample Quilt Sale Friday July 6 to Sunday July 8

So many have asked "do you sell your quilts?"  I've always smiled and said no, I can't part with them yet.

Well after 16 years, yes it will be 16 years in September, I am finally ready to move them to a new home.  Don't worry, I saved my favorites, and tried to save more, but my friends won't let me............  I just can't hoard them any more!

So far we have cataloged over 150 quilts!  Oh and there are still more!  We are still looking in every nook and cranny to find them .......

So what will you find in the "Quilt Market?"  All shapes and sizes, colors, themes, such as Thimbleberries, children's, lap, Laurel Burch, Batiks........... did I mention we have over 150?  Also lots of handbags, and small items too!  It was like going thru history looking through all the boxes and boxes of hidden jems!

If you have never done a "in the hoop" project, you will love it.  Dust off those embroidery machines and come have some fun.  It's a great way to get to know your machine again.

Hoop Envy is a Embroidery Club designed by Pickle Pie.    These are fun "in the hoop" projects.  

Each month features a new contemporary, sophisticated design, that will appeal to sewists of all ages.

Each month's EXCLUSIVE Design CD features an irresistible project in three hoop sizes so ALL embroidery machine owners can join in on the fun!

Depending on the project, you will go home with a completed project ready to use or to gift.  

You must sign up and pay in advance for the monthly class.  There is a limited number of spaces since this is hands on program.

An easy introduction to an "in the hoop" projects.

Create fun cozies to keep your hot beverages hot!  Designs included are for coffee, tea, and hot cocoa.   There are matching mug rugs and designs for tea towels too.

This will be so much fun that you will fall in love with your embroidery machine again.

Please come to the Meet the Teacher's Reception for a fun evening with our teachers, on Thursday Feb 8 at 6pm.   They will be previewing their classes and it's a fun evening.

Quilters Loft Closed Today!

I hope you enjoyed the beautiful snowfall we had yesterday.  In Mooresville we got 6 inches!  Needless to say we are closed due to the snow. 

Here is a view from my backyard.  Isn't it lovely!  My driveway is so steep, I won't be going anywhere today!  I took the pups in the backyard to see how they liked the snow.  Trigger loved it and ran around like a wild man ...... Callie, not so much.  She wanted to get back in to play with her ball.  She is all about the ball and doesn't care for the snow!

We will reopen tomorrow as I am sure the roads will be good after all this beautiful sunshine.
