Welcome Martha Hannah -New Teacher

Quilters Loft would like to welcome Martha Hannah to the teaching staff.

Martha learned to sew Barbie clothes at a young age and then began sewing my own “Brady Bunch” knit clothing in the 70’s; making my own adult clothing and progressing to make clothing for my children.

In the year 2000 she sought out a quilting class as a form of stress relief from a very demanding job.  The rest is a future of falling in love with color and fabric, passion for new patterns and projects, and loving every stitch.  When asked how she could be a wife and mother, and have a job, and have time to sew, she reply that sewing and quilting feeds my soul.

Teaching others to quilt allows her to meet wonderful people who share her passion.    Martha loves to teach beginners to quilt.  Martha would say that while she enjoy making quilts, she loves smaller projects like table runners, wall hangings and other sewn items.

A student recently commented to me that these small projects help beginners to develop their skills and develop confidence to grow as a quilter.

Martha is grateful to the Quilter’s Loft for allowing her to share in the joy and fun that come with this wonderful craft that provides joy to the maker and provide love to the recipient of a quilted item.

Martha has scheduled two classes for the upcoming schedule.  A fun Runaround Bag and the "Club Sandwich" tablerunner!  Look for her classes in the upcoming schedule of classes.
