12 months 10:30 to 12:30p
Instructor:  Susan Edmonson

Registration Fee: $25
Monthly Fee: $35 month, pay first, and last months at registration.

This class is designed to inspire you to embellish everything you see! Crazy Quilts were the very first Art Quilts, so the more you add to them the better.  Susan will guide you through simple piecing and some fabulous had embroidery stitches.

There will be a different technique each month demonstrated, such as hand beading, silk ribbon embroidery, Stumpwork, ribbon roses and flowers, rubber stamping on fabric,Inktense painting on fabric, button collages, Photo transfer techniques and much more.  You will need your sewing machine for the first class and after that one it will be hand work for classes.

Susan will let you what you will need for each class.  Your quilt can be done in lots of smaller quilts or one larger quilt.  4 blocks to 12 blocks, it is up to you!  It will be a fun year ahead.

In addition to the quilt block there will be an "extra add-on" project each month as well.

Susan's Inspiration Crazy Quilt will be at the first meeting.  Here are some examples to inspire you!

The Historic Club has been meeting for about 12 years!  Such a fun group, and oh so creative! Many of the members have been coming since the start, and we always welcome new club members.  It's a great way to have fun, learn new things and meet new people with the same interests.

Historic Club is getting a "make over" as we are moving out of the 17th and 18th century to the 19th century!   This year we will be going scrappy and brighter as we look for fabrics from the 1920-1950's.  Fabrics selected will be as close to the colors on the cover quilt as we can get.  We want to find the perfect group of fabrics that are coming out in the fall.

The Farm Girl Vintage Quilt Block of the Month is from Lori Holt at Bee in my Bonnet and features 48 - 6" blocks. It's kind of a walk down "memory lane" on the farm. During the 12 month program, you will receive the fabrics needed to complete the quilt top including borders, cornerstones and binding (finishing kit).  Month 12, you will receive the finishing kit.

Each month we will be working on four 6 1/2 inch blocks!  You will receive the fabrics needed to make the four blocks each month!

We are also working on a Club Challenge using blocks from the book. More details about the challenge will be shared in our first meeting.  We selected this book because it has two block sizes and lots of additional projects!  And it's based on Vintage Blocks!
