CLUBS 2012

Club and Block of the Month Commitments:

All of our Special Programs or Monthly Programs require a commitment from you for the length of the program.  Signing up for a Club or Block of the Month (BOM) Program is the same as putting a "quilt" on lay-away.   Based on your commitment we purchase all the supplies that are needed to complete the project.  You are making a commitment to purchase the entire set of patterns or kits.  You have the choice of prepaying for the entire Club or BOM or paying on a monthly basis.  There are NO exceptions to this rule, so please don't ask if you can discontinue a program once you've joined in.    We appreciate your commitment and understanding.

Didn't get in on the start date?  Don't worry - we will catch you up!!  Come in and see what it's all about!!  Clubs are fun, social and you always learn something!

One of our most popular programs.  The fourth session of the Stitcher’s Garden Block of the Month by The Stitch Connection, is scheduled to start June 19 from 1pm to 4pm.  The 2012 Stitcher’s Garden club will meet once a month for 12 months.

It does not matter what kind of machine you own,  this program is for ANY machine and anyone regardless of your experience. You do not have to own the feet to make this quilt. These are only suggestions and you can pick and choose how to make your quilt.

Beginning Quilters must be know their machine, be able to thread it and troubleshoot any machine problems.

You pre-register and pay the initial Club sign-up fee is $75.00,  which includes 4 yards of background fabrics.

There is a twelve month commitment:

1. Each session you will pay $12.  You can pay monthly,  the first and last three months are due at sign-up, plus initial start-up fee.
2. Or pay in full and save 20% on your monthly fees, plus initial start-up fee. There is no discount on the start-up fee.

At sign-up you will select your 4 yards of background fabrics.  You will be able to use fabrics from your stash.  Each month you will receive a free pattern, the instructions for making that block and you will work on it in class.

A supply list of all the sewing supplies you need for the program will be provided.

The demonstrations are applicable to that month’s block, but also to a wide variety of other projects you will likely tackle in the future, regardless of whether or not you decide to make this particular quilt.

Historic Club 2012
Meets Second Sat Month at 9am (Apr to Dec)
Club Leader:  Judy Eshleman

We are in our seventh year of Historic Club.  The 2011 Club year was quite challenging, with lots of little blocks, as the club members completed the Roses for Shiloh Quilt.  There are still a couple of meetings left for the 2011 year, but everyone has met the challenge well.

The 2012 year is going to take a little different approach.  We are going easy this year.  Kind of a back to basics, with simple blocks in an elegant setting.  The finished quilt measures 89" x 106".
Our Historic Club Quilt is inspired by classic Amish quilts, with lots of bright colors and strong basic shapes, designed by Nancy Rink.  The Quilt features Marcus Brothers 'Centenial Solids' fabric, the colors and finish of the cotton was carefully planned for an authentically Amish effect.

In all, you will complete 15 lessons, two lessons a month, focusing on the basic shapes most common to quilting.  There will be three finishing lessons that include the block "frames," appliqué on the corners, and then completing the sashing, borders, and binding.  At the end of Club you will have your own beautiful Amish Quilt.

We are going to learn about the Amish way of life, along with some of the foods that they prepare.  We are going to have fun, fun, fun!!!!

There is a nine month commitment.
